The new 2020 Traverse utilizes a standard 310 horsepower, 266 lb-ft of torque 3.6L V6 engine mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The new 2020 Equinox on the other hand uses a smaller standard 170hp, 203 lb/ft torque 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A 260 lb/ft torque, 252hp 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder engine paired with 9-speed automatic transmission is available.
Tech Highlights
When it comes to tech packages, the Chevy Traverse and the Chevy Equinox measure up. These vehicles come standard with a 7 inch color touchscreen infotainment hub loaded with tech and compatibility like Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. A larger 8 inch HD color touchscreen with built in navigation system is an optional upgrade on both models. More equipped features are an 8-way power driver seat, active noise cancellation, and tire pressure monitoring system. A Bose Sound System upgrade is available on both vehicles for those hi-fi audio addicts.
