Vehicle Inspection Requirements
The Texas Department of Public Safety Vehicle Inspection requires that all vehicles registered in the state must undergo annual emission (exemption in some counties) and safety inspections once in a year. The Texas DPS passenger car inspectors follow a checklist while conducting an annual safety inspection.
